My Ever Changing Thoughts in a Tumultuous World

My faith deconstruction started slowly, but as of the last couple years it is anything but slow. My religion is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My cultural background is Mormon, a very niche brand of white, protestant, American. My heritage was faith, patriarchy, family, polygamy, God's love, perfect obedience to God's law, love for all, no room for discussion of racism, homophobia, or feminism, and many other paradoxical paradigms of love and conformity. My faith deconstruction accelerated exponentially when I came out as bi. I've been working to deconstruct, understand, and reckon with homophobia, ableism, racism, capitalism, colonization, American exceptionalism, Christian nationalism, patriarchy, oppressive systems and my role in them. I think many other's are feeling this weight too. It's *sigh* a lot. It's worth it. It's essential. It's exhausting. I'm committed to it. Welcome to my blog, where I write my thoughts and feelings about all the things as I think, learn, and deconstruct. I am working to move from a place of ignorance to a place of understanding with the goal of better understanding who I am, where I fit in the world, and how I can use my influence to work toward a more just, more merciful world for everyone. I'm happy to be corrected. I welcome earnest discussion. Thanks for being here.
